Community Guidelines

Last updated November 8, 2026. Indie Torch works when launches are real and votes are honest. These rules keep it that way.

Indie Torch (indietorch.com) is run by Orosfort Private Limited ("Orosfort", "we", "us").

What can launch

• Products made by small teams and solo makers: apps, tools, APIs, plugins, games, newsletters and more.
• The product must be live or open for sign-ups, and you must be a maker of it or have the maker's permission.
• Each product launches once per week slot. Major new versions can launch again.

What cannot launch

• Anything illegal, or that promotes violence, hatred, harassment or self-harm.
• Adult content, gambling, weapons and unlicensed financial or medical products.
• Malware, phishing, scams, pyramid schemes and get-rich-quick offers.
• Products that copy another maker's work or brand, or that you have no rights to.
• Pages that are only a waitlist with no real product, or only affiliate links.

Honest listings

• Describe what the product actually does. No fake reviews, user counts or awards.
• Use your own logo and screenshots, or ones you have permission to use.
• Do not stuff names, descriptions or tags with keywords.

Fair voting

• One vote per person per product. Votes should come from people who care about the product.
• No fake accounts, vote trading, paid votes, vote pools, bots or scripts.
• You may share your launch link, but do not ask people to vote through a group or incentive.
• We may remove suspicious votes, and the products that benefit from them, without notice.

Be decent

Critique products, not people. No harassment, personal attacks, doxxing, spam or off-topic promotion.

Enforcement

Depending on how serious the breach is, we may edit or remove a listing, reset votes, remove a product from the leaderboard, or suspend the account. If you think we got it wrong, email hello@indietorch.com.

Reporting

See something that breaks these rules? Email hello@indietorch.com with the link and what is wrong. For copyright, use the takedown process.
